Discovering Treasure

Updated: Apr 23, 2020

I’ve always thought of time as a river that runs swiftly downstream. As hard as I may try to capture it, it always slips through my hands. I never have enough.

How will you invest your treasure?

My friend George from Ghana says, “Time is a treasure to be wisely spent.” In other words, the idea isn’t to try to find more time, it’s to discover the treasure that I’ve been given and choose carefully what to do with it.

The psalmist says that the one blessed by God delights in the instruction of the LORD, and meditates on it day and night. (Psalm 1:1-2)

What better way to invest the treasure of time than by listening to, reading, and studying God’s Word? Surely it is an investment that will pay dividends now and for eternity.
