I’m convinced there is a great secret, known to only a few people in the world. Having once found and laid hold of this secret, those who possess it will never go back to a normal life. Contentment, peace, and joy seem to softly radiate from them like the glow emanating from a lightening bug. Sure, they face difficult times, trials, and sadness. But, somehow their inner being is unaffected. Like a candle at midnight, the light in their life dispels whatever darkness may dog their steps. They exude calm in the midst of chaos, steadfastness in the midst of storms, and tenderness in the midst of others’ tirades.
I’ve seen a few of these people. I know they exist. And I want to be one, too.
